このコースではよきヨガ指導者の基本として、知識を深め、自問をし、またヨガの練習に専心する者として、より深く自分を理解していくことを学びます。
ヨガを教えること、勉強することは一生を通して続く美しい旅です。練習を通して得られる自分発見や、とどまることのない目覚めは、わたしたちの生活に平穏をもたらしてくれ、それは誰もが求めるものなのです。それに加えて更に素晴らしいことは、この贈り物を他の人と共有する機会に恵まれることです。

ヨガ・アーツのコースは、ヨガ指導者を目指す方々が最大限に成長し、変革が得られるような、やりがいのある内容になっています。わたしたちは、優れたヨガ指導者になるためには自分を深く見つめる勇気を持ち、心を開いて熱心にヨガのテクニックを学ぶことが必要だと考えています。教えることでヨガというアートを他の人たちと共有するためには、個人の経験を通してヨガの本質に触れることが大切なのです。

このレベル1のコースは、全米ヨガ・アライアンスにて200時間の認定を受けています。
全米ヨガ・アライアンスは、世界中のヨガ指導者とヨガ・スクールのクオリティと基準を定める国際組織です。本コース終了後には、200時間が認定されます。

本コースはSAKURA  YOGA/アンダーザライト・ヨガ・スクールを通して行われます。会場は、アンダーザライトのスタジオ（代々木、新宿エリア）近辺です。5月と10月と2期間にわかれ、それぞれ平均して1日9時間、10日間づつとなります。第一期の集中コースは解剖学講義、第二期の10日間はヨガ哲学講義が含まれます。第一期終了後、10月に第二期が始まるまで、宿題と研究課題が課されます。この約5ヶ月の期間は意図的に設けられていて、最大限に理解を深めるのに重要な役割を果たし、学んだスキルや情報を完全に消化し自分のものにするためにあるのです。

ヨガ・アーツとルイーザ・シアーについて

ヨガ・アーツのティーチャー・トレーニングは1994年、9ヶ月コース、Certificate4の誕生から始まりました。これは世界でももっとも総合的なヨガ・トレーニングの一つで、そのクラス内容の質の高さや指導者のクオリティ、授業時間の多さでよく知られています。また、オーストラリア政府の組織、VETAB（オーストラリア政府認定職業教育訓練委員会）に認定された初めてのティーチャー・トレーニング・コースでもあります。

この9ヶ月間のトレーニングは、ヨガ・アーツで10年間行われ、2004年を持って終了しました。このコースと平行し、1ヶ月間、2ヶ月間、そして2期間にわかれて20日間づつなど、短期間の認定コースも行うようになりました。この20日間のコースの第一期は2000年にバリ島で行われ、オーストラリアのヨガ・ティーチャー・トレーニングとして初めて、全米ヨガ・アライアンス（アメリカを拠点とするヨガ・トレーニングの基準を定める国際組織）に認定されました。

ヨガ・アーツの特徴は、優れた指導者が在籍し、講師たちは、ティーチャー・トレーニンングを長年専門にしてきた実績があります。どの指導者にも10年から35年に渡る練習、指導経験があります。数十年に渡る、ティーチャー・トレーニングを専門に行った経験があるのです。加えて、良い指導者を求める声に答えて常に最高のトレーニングを提供し続け、そのハイ・スタンダードな評判を維持してきました。

幼少期母親からヨガの教えを受け、思春期はじめまでインテグラル・ヨガを練習。17歳のときにAnannda marga yoga groupで瞑想とチャンティングに触れ、マーティン・ジャクソン（オーストラリアに初めてアイアンガーを持ち込んだ人）のもとでアイアンガー・ヨガ、
アサナ、呼吸法を学び、練習に専心するようになる。17歳で、真剣にヨガの練習に打ち込むようになる。21歳で教え始め、定期的にインドを旅するようになり、アサナやプラナヤマのみならず、瞑想も長年の間学ぶ。アイアンガーのアサナを基礎に持ちながら、アシュタンガ・ヨガを16年間練習し、4thシリーズまで終了。

ヨガをはじめたころから、自分の人生をヨガの練習と教えることに捧げてきた。自分の本質、自由、愛を見つけるため、人々をヨガに向かわせることに情熱を持つ。

教えるときに大切にしていることは、人生というものを理解し、受け入れること。そこに自分の中に存在する師を見いだし、すべての中に存在する神を認めることである。

ルーシー・ロバーツ

アサナ、ヴィンヤサ、テクニック、評価、実践的指導

ルイーズ・シアーとともにヨガ・アーツの国際的に認定されたティーチャー・トレーニングで指導する。東京のヨガ・スタジオ、Sun ＆Moonのティーチャー・トレーニングで定期的にゲスト・ティーチャーをつとめる。他にも各国でクラス、ワークショップ、リトリートを受け持つ。
過去１２年間に渡り、多様なスタイルのヨガを練習し、様々な師の元で学ぶ。

生命、自然、静寂を長年最良の師として尊ぶ。指導スタイルは流れるようで女性的、直感的でクリエイティヴ。

古典的なヨガのアサナと、自然ならせんを描く動きのフリー・スタイルのダンスと融合させるという、新しいスタイルを生み出す。クラニオ・セイクラル・ボディワーク（頭蓋仙骨療法）の勉強から、教えるときも練習するときも、内側から外側に働きかけることによって、内側の無限性やゆとり、静寂の中にある瞑想的な存在を見いだせることを知る。言葉を使わない、実践的なアジャストメントをこよなく愛し、繊細で明確な意思があれば、身体から身体へのコミュニケ―ションは充分伝わると思っている。

現在情熱をそそいでいるのは、オリッシー・ダンス(東インドにあるオリッサ寺院の美しいクラシカル・アートで、祈祷のためのダンス)、クラニオ・セイクラル・ボディーワーク（頭蓋仙骨療法）、そして目覚めと喜びをもたらす、その間のすべてのもの。

グルダス・カルサ

グルダスと勉強をすることは、発想が自由になる世界に入っていくことである。そこでは、彼自身の音楽とともに、瞑想を通して内なる静寂を経験できる。難しい考えをシンプルで判りやすい、心に届く言葉で説明する才能を持った、特別な指導者である。個人的に体験してきたことや真実の探求に専念することにより、誠実さ、ユーモア、思いやりや喜びを持って知識や知恵を分かち合うことができる。声とギターを合わせることを、もっともパワフルな指導スキルの一つとする。それは深いインパクトを持って人の心をひらかせ、マインドを拡大させる。

1954年ニューヨークにて、スペイン系の両親のもとに生まれる。60年代生まれらしく、17歳のとき、スピリチュアル・ティーチャーであるYogi Bhajan（クンダリーニ・ヨガ、タントリック・ヨガの名匠）に出会う。

練習歴35年、指導歴30年、これまで数百人ものヨガ指導者を教える。現在も南アフリカ、ヨーロッパ、インド、米国で指導を続けている。

才能に恵まれた、ディヴォーショナル・ミュージック（信心のための音楽）のミュージシャンでもあり、マントラ・チャンティングやスピリチュアル・ソングスのCDを多数録音している。www.spiritvoyage.comとi Tunesでその音楽を聴くことができる。

旅の途中出会ったアドヴァイタの名匠、Rameshu Balesekarに個人的な生活、ヨガ指導、両面において深い影響を受ける。

クリストフ・カマー

解剖学

ヨガ解剖学講師で、自然療法医。20年に渡りヨガを練習し続け、ヨガ指導の資格を持つ。世界各国の地域でヨガ、ヨガ・ムーヴメント、健康に対する理解が深められることを願い、情熱をそそぐ。

1988年から1998年までドイツ、オーストラリアで看護、逆症療法学、自然療法を学ぶ。解剖学に対するアプローチは活気があっておもしろく、楽しく判りやすい方法で解説される。自身で、解剖学のクラスは’アナトミー・ショー！’なのだと言っている。クラスは個人の身体を基にし、そこで得られた幅広い理解は、どんなヨガの練習にも対応することができる。

キンダ・ヨガ（www.kindayoga,com）の創始者の一人で、ディレクター。このヨガは若い世代にインスピレーションを与え、練習の楽しさから何かを得ることを目的として始められた。この10年間、 世界各国で30以上の認定されたティーチャー・トレーニングを受け持つ。オーストラリアのバイロン・ベイとシドニーのクリニックで診察を行う。

ケイト・ルーク

学生時代、大学時代を通してスポーツに熱中し、オーストラリア、バイロン・ベイにて初めてヨガを知る。即座に定期的な練習による健康への恩恵を実感し、そこからヨガへの旅が始まる。

バイロン・ベイにて、ヨガ・アーツの9ヶ月間のティーチャー・トレーニング終了。そこで国際的に認められた、優れた指導者のそばで、毎日のように勉強するという貴重な機会を得る。インドにも滞在し、様々な形式を模索、そこで学んだことすべてを自分の指導に組み入れている。

熱心なヨギで、様々なことが徐々に開いていくプロセスの虜になっていく。過去20年間を勉強、旅、教えることに費やす。ヨガに情熱を注ぎ、他の人たち に“夢を追い続けながらアクティブな生活を送るように”インスピレーションを与えていく。サーフィンと海を愛し、海のそばでウェルネス・センターを運営するという夢をかなえるため、バイロン・ベイからバリに住居を移す予定。

  This course will offer a deepening of knowledge and inner inquiry as the basis for a good Yoga Teacher and a greater depth of self-understanding for the dedicated yogi and yogini.

  Teaching and studying yoga is a beautiful lifetime journey. The self-understanding and continual awakening that takes place through the practice of yoga brings the peace to our lives that we all desire. The added blessing of Teaching Yoga is an opportunity to share this gift.

Yoga Arts courses are designed to be challenging to offer the opportunity for optimum growth and transformation for the teacher to be. We feel that to be a good Yoga teacher, we need to have the courage to look deeply within ourselves and practice the techniques of yoga with openness and dedication, touching the essence of Yoga through ones own personal experience is the keynote for sharing this Art of Yoga through Teaching.

This Level 1 course is registered for 200 hours with Yoga Alliance.
Yoga Alliance is an international organization for the quality and standardization for yoga teachers and yoga schools worldwide.
Completing this course, will give students the 200 hour registered yoga qualification.

This course will be held through SAKURA YOGA/Under the Light Yoga Studio in Tokyo. The venue is very close to their central studio, near Yoyogi or Shinjuku area. The course is offered in two parts, of 10 days each, averaging 9 hours a day.

The first intensive 10 days will, include the anatomy module and the second 10 days will include the Yoga Philosophy module.  After part 1 students will have homework and assignments to complete in the months before part 2 starts.

This time between part 1 and part 2 is a important time and is designed specifically for the skills and information learnt in part 1 to be fully digested and integrated for optimum understanding.

ABOUT YOGA ARTS & LOUISA SEAR
Yoga Arts yoga teacher training school began with the birth of the 9 month Certificate IV in Yoga Teacher Training in 1994. This was one of the most comprehensive yoga trainings in the world. The Certificate IV was well known for its quantity of hours and high quality of yoga teachers and teaching components. It was also the first yoga teacher training course in Australia to be Government accredited with VETAB, the Australian Vocation Educational and Training Accreditation Board.

The 9  month Training was offered through Yoga Arts for 10 years. The last one was completed in 2004. At the same time as the 9 month trainings were being run, Yoga Arts started running shorter accredited yoga teacher trainings that were run over 1 and 2 months, and 20 days part 1 and 2 the 1st one being held in Bali in 2000.

The 2000 Bali training was the first Australian yoga teacher training course, of its kind to be accredited with Yoga Alliance, the American based international organization for yoga training standardization.

THE PRINCIPAL TEACHERS ON THE COURSE

LOUISA SEAR

Meditation, Pranayama, Asana Teaching Technique. Prac, and personal programming, self inquiry,  philosophy and ethics.
Louisa was introduced to yoga as a  child by her mother, she practiced integral yoga as a adolescent and a young teenager. At the age of 17 she, was introduced to meditation and chanting by the Ananda marga yoga group and then to Iyengar yoga , asana and pranayama by Martin Jackson the first person to bring Iyengar yoga to Australia.

At the age of 17 Louisa began her dedicated practice.  She began teaching at the age of 21 and started  traveling regularly to India, here as well as studying asana and pranayma she also had a long time meditation teacher. As well as her foundation in Iyengar asana she practiced Astanga Yoga for 16 years completing 4 series.

Since the beginning Louisa has dedicated her life to the practice and teaching of Yoga. She is passionate about turning people onto yoga, to find their true nature, freedom and love.

In her teaching she encourages the understanding and acceptance of life, finding the teacher within and acknowledging the God in all. Louisa has had a committed yoga practice for over 27years,


LUCY ROBERTS

Asana,  vinyasa, Technique, assessment and prac teaching.

Lucy works with Louisa Sear on Yoga Arts Internationally accredited Teacher Training Courses, is a regular guest teacher on Sun & Moon Teacher Training Courses in Tokyo, and teaches classes, workshops, and retreats internationally.

She has practiced many styles and studied with different teachers over the last twelve years.

Her longest and most revered teachers are life, nature and silence.

Lucy's teaching style is fluid, feminine, intuitive and creative. She brings new ways of working with classical yoga asanas with the natural spiraled movements of free-style dance.

Studying craniosacral bodywork has informed her teaching and practice, working from the inside out to find an inner spaciousness and ease, and a meditative presence grounded in silence. She loves the non-verbal aspect of hands on adjustments where so much can be communicated from body-to-body, when there is sensitivity and clear
intention.

Lucy's current passions are Odissi Dance, a very beautiful and devotional classical art from the temples of Orissa in East India, craniosacral bodywork, and everything else in between that brings wakefulness and Joy. Born in Australia but home 'on the road', she currently lives between Byron Bay, Japan and India.

GURUDASS KHALSA

Studying with Gurudass is to enter a world of liberating concepts that, along with his music, can lead one to a meditative experience of inner peace. He is an exceptional Teacher with the gift of explaining the most complicated concepts in a simple and sensible language that reaches the heart.

His personal experience and his dedication to the search of Truth enable him to share his knowledge and wisdom with sincerity, humor, compassion and joy. The combination of his voice and guitar is one of his most powerful teaching tools, having a profound impact that opens the heart and expands the mind.

He was born in New York in 1954 of Spanish parents. A child of the 60s, Gurudass met his spiritual teacher Yogi Bhajan, Master of Kundalini and Tantric Yoga, at the age of 17.
Gurudass has been practicing for 35years and teaching for 30 years, he has taught hundreds of yoga teachers and continues to teach yoga in South America, Europe, India and the USA.

He is also a gifted musician of devotional music having recorded many CDs of mantra chanting and spiritual songs. You can find his music in www.spiritvoyage.com and in iTunes.

In his travels he met Advaita Master Ramesh Balesekar who has had a profound impact in his personal life and his teaching. Gurudass currently lives in Santiago, Chile.


CHRISOPH KUMMER

Anatomy

Chris is a Yoga Anatomy Teacher and certified Naturopath. He began practicing yoga two decades ago and is also a qualified yoga teacher. His passion is to further the understanding of yoga, movement and health in the worldwide community. __From 1988 to 1998 Chris studied nursing, allopathic medicine and naturopathy in Germany and Australia.

Chris's approach to Anatomy is lively, entertaining and presented in a fun and comprehensible way. He refers to his teaching as 'The Anatomy Show' The teaching is based on the individual body and fits with a broad understanding complementing all yoga practices.

Chris is co-founder and director of KindaYoga (www.kindayoga.com), with the vision to inspire the young generation to benefit from the joy of practicing Yoga. __He has been teaching internationally on over thirty Registered Yoga Teacher Trainings over the past decade. He consults from clinics in Byron Bay  and Sydney Australia.

KATE ROURKE

Asana teacher, assistant teacher for technique and methodology classes

Kate was a sports enthusiast throughout her school and university days and was first introduced to yoga in Byron Bay, Australia.  There she quickly realized the holistic benefits of a regular practice and thus began her journey into Yoga.   

She completed a Yoga Arts nine-month teacher training in Byron Bay having the invaluable opportunity to study alongside internationally recognised senior teachers on a daily basis.   Kate also spends time in India exploring diverse modalities and incorporates all she has learnt in her teaching.

Kate is a dedicated yogi committed to the unfolding process. She has spent the past 20 years studying, travelling and teaching, she is passionate about yoga and inspiring others to live an active life following their dreams.   Her love of surfing and the ocean sees her now relocating from Byron Bay to Bali to fulfil her dream of running a wellness centre by the sea.
