アサナ、プラナヤマ、ヤントラ、マントラを使って、「Aum」が象徴する本質を明らかに

タントラでは、Aumのマントラは、通常の思考回路を超えて、永遠なる空間に触れていくために使われています。オームの音には、無意識、意識、超意識のすべてが内在しているのです。AUMを大きな声で唱えると、肉体、心、精神に平安をもたらすことができ、静寂が、わたしたちの生命全体へ満ち溢れていきます。ヤントラやAumのシンボルは、肉体と微細なエネルギー体のどちらにも関係している５蔵の意味があるのです。

国際的に活躍するヨガ教師であるレイチェル・ジンマンとともに、Aumのシンボルと音を探求し、それによって肉体がどのように変化していくのかを理解しましょう。そして、生まれもった生命力への気づきを高めるアサナの練習、エネルギー領域を拡大するプラナヤマの練習、自分が何者であるのかという本質と結びついていくAumの斉唱という練習を通して、意識の拡大の仕方を理解していきましょう。

【講師プロフィール】
レイチェル・ジンマン
ヨガ練習歴20年以上、指導歴16年。ヨガの教育を受ける前は、アメリカ、オーストラリアでプロのダンサー、振付家として育つ。ヨガと出会ってからは、アイアンガー、アシュタンガ双方のメソッドを学び、ダンスのヘッド・ティーチャーを勤めるノーザン・リバー・音楽学校で、ヨガの指導を始め、カリキュラムにヨガを導入した。指導には、アートに深く関わっていることが反映され、気づきに焦点をあてたダイナミックで正確なスタイルを特徴とする。

2002年～2004年、再度ニューヨークに居を構えたころ、Yoga WorksとISHTAヨガ創始者のアラン・フィンガーに出会い、アランのスタジオ、Be Yogaで４年間教える。その間、Be Yogaティーチャー・トレーニング・プログラムを共同開発、コーディネーターとしての役割を果たし、まとめ役、指導者として高い位置を占めた。その後、オーストラリアに戻り、ヨガ・アーツのティーチャー・トレーニングで指導する。

2005年からは、バイロン・ベイ、シドニー、ブリスベン、サンシャイン・コースト、バリ、日本、ミュンヘン、フランクフルト、スイス、リヒテンシュタイン、ニューヨークで、ISHTAシステムに則った自らのティーチャー・トレーニングやワークショップを企画推進している。瞑想における深い体験や探求に基づいた、直感的で独創的な指導を行い、ヨガに対する情熱を分かち合えることを嬉しく思っている。

オーストラリアで人気のヨガのビデオ・シリーズ、キッズ・ヨガのビデオを共作し、プロデュース。
チャンティングと献身の歌で構成されたアルバム「Sita Ram」で賞などを受賞するミュージシャンでもあり、詩集を出版する詩人でもある。www.ishtasystem.com

Uncovering the symbolic nature of AUM
Through the practice of asana, pranayama, yantra and mantra

In Tantra, the mantra AUM is used to transcend the ordinary thinking mind, touching a space that is eternal. Inherent in the sound Aum is both the unconscious, conscious and super conscious mind. When we chant Aum out loud we bring peace to this body, heart and mind and allow a stillness to flood our being. The yantra or symbol of Aum has a five-fold meaning related to both the physical body and our subtle energy field.

Join International Yoga teacher Rachel Zinman exploring both the symbol and the sound of Aum by understanding how it can change your physicality and expand your consciousness through the practice of asanas -that promote awareness of your inherent life force, pranayamas that expand your energy field, and the chanting of Aum to connect to the essence of who you are.

【Bio.】
Rachel Zinman
Rachel has been practicing yoga for over 20 years and has taught for 16. Prior to her initial yoga education Rachel trained as a professional dancer and choreographer in the USA and in Australia.

Discovering yoga she originally trained in the Iyengar and Ashtanga methods and first began teaching in her role as Head of Dance at the Northern Rivers Conservatorium where she introduced yoga to the curriculum. Her teaching style continues to reflect her deep engagement with the arts - dynamic and precise with an emphasis on mindfulness.

While again living in New York from 2000-2004 Rachel met Yoga Works and ISHTA yoga founder Alan Finger teaching in his Be Yoga studios for four years. There she co-created and coordinated the Be Yoga Teacher
Training Program, becoming a senior facilitator and mentor. Rachel returned to Australia to teach in the Yoga Arts Teacher Training, and since 2005 has created and facilitated her own teacher trainings and workshops in the ISHTA System in Byron Bay, Sydney, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Bali, Japan, Munich, Frankfurt, Zurich, Liechtenstein, and New York. Rachel's deep personal experience and investigation of meditation allows her to be both intuitive and creative in her work and she feels grateful to be able to share her passion with others.

Rachel also co-created and produced a popular Australian Yoga Video series and a Kid's Yoga Video. She is an award-winning musician for her album of chanting and devotional song, Sita Ram , and is published
