(1)アシュタンガ・ヨガ入門編
アシュタンガの伝統的なシークエンスの土台となっている「ポーズの形」「呼吸」「動き」のつながりを、段階を踏みながら見ていきます。このヨガのシステムにおけるアライメントの生体力学的原則と、コアを使った呼吸を呼び起こす瞑想の原則を学び、自由、テクニック、慈愛の念を、新しい段階まで導きます。

(1) Introduction to Ashtanga Yoga
A step by step exploration of the basic thread of form, breathing, and movement upon which the classical series of postures is strung. The bio-mechanical principles of alignment and the meditative principle of awakening core breathing will be studied in context of the Ashtanga system to give participants a new degree of freedom, technical skill and compassion.

宝石がくくりつけられたインドラ網（もう）(注）のように、人間の身体は、感覚や感情と直結した「場」として体験されます。身体の細かいところまで見ていくと、身体組織のつながりへの扉を開き、その特質やパターンの１つひとつが、頑丈に編み込まれたインドラ網の宝石のように、今のこの瞬間へと続きます。

ヨガのポーズ、呼吸、テクニック、哲学などは、その土台となるものにある「つながり」をはっきりさせると、インドラ網の宝石と同じように見えてきます。フロウのあるヴィンヤサ・スタイルのアシュタンガ・ヨガは、複雑に結びつき合ったヨガの技法を理解し、取り入れ、精錬するのに理想的な練習です。

今回行うクラスでは、内に根付いたアサナ練習にある「つながり」と「パターン」を見つけていきます。パラドックス（矛盾）的性質を持つ、ヴィンヤサ・システムの核となる部分が見え隠れする中、このスタイルの練習によくある問題を解決し、練習を妨げるものを取り除いていくことができます。ヨガ指導者には、生徒それぞれの本質に目を向け、怪我を予防する優れた指導手段を与えてくれることでしょう。

3/5(土)午前　身体を目覚めへの基盤としていく方法：ムードラとしてのアライメント
プラーナ（感情と感覚のパターン）とチッタ（思考と想像力のパターン）の関係によって、人間の身体は、微細で広がりを持つ、さまざまな意識の段階への出入り口となります。今回の集中コースでは、今この瞬間での意識のパターンを用いて、物理的な肉体と意識上の体の中心軸とのつながりを感じます。アシュタンガ・ヨガの核となるポーズ、バンダ、ドリシティ、呼吸のリズムなどは、シンプルで微細なものであるがゆえ、見落とされてしまいがちです。システムの核となるこのようなテクニックを探究すると、その瞬間に感じる新しい自由と、優雅さを見いだすことができます。呼吸の矛盾点と、テクニックの補完性を探究し、身体の中心軸を、あらゆる目的にかなう普遍的な形へと開きます。瞑想、プラナヤマ、アサナはすべて、新しく精緻で細かい部分、アライメント、フロウに意識を向けることで成熟していくものです。

3/5(土)午後　バックベンドとフィニッシングのポーズで「正しい感覚」を得る
ポーズの取り方や、ポーズへの向き合い方をほんの少し調整するだけで、難しく、取りずらいポーズから成果が得られることがあります。このクラスでは、バックベンド、ショルダースタンド、ヘッドスタンドとそれに関連したポーズを詳しく見ていきます。ポーズの難しい部分や、よくある怪我、ミスアライメントなどを検証し、解決法を探ります。

3/6(日)午前　コアのムードラとその重要なテクニック
身体のコア部分を目覚めさせるために、ドリシティ、バンダ、テクニックを常に精錬することを学びましょう。身体の中心軸から比喩的な「ミルク」を十分に取り出すために、呼吸の矛盾点と、テクニックの補完性を探究します。ヴィンヤサ・システムの核となる部分で、動きの中での矛盾点を実際に体験すると、そのときとっているポーズが感情や表現のムードラとなります。

アライメント、呼吸、思考、瞑想との関係における、ムーラバンダの働きとは？ムーラバンダとは何なのか？光を放ち続けるムードラなのでしょうか？
ヨガの練習の微細な面を探り、わたしたちの感情や思考のプロセスの強い結びつきを、今のこの瞬間へと解放します。

(注）インドラ(帝釈天)の宮殿にかかる網のこと。網の結び目にそれぞれに宝珠がついていて、その一つひとつが他の一切の宝珠を映し出すという深遠な世界を示す言葉。一つの宝珠に宇宙のすべてが収まるというダイナミックな生命観を示す。

(2) THE BODY MATRIX , for all level
Like the Jeweled Net of Indra, the human body can be experienced as a field of immediate sensations and feelings. When examined closely each point or pattern in that field opens like a jewel into a vibrant, interconnected web, a matrix of gates into the present moment. Yoga poses, breaths, techniques and philosophies appear as jewels when the contexts in which they rest are revealed. The flowing Vinyasa form of Ashtanga Yoga is the ideal practice to reflect and refine an understanding of this intricate, interlinked art of yoga.

During these classes we will uncover the context and patterns of an internally rooted asana practice. Moving in and out of the paradoxical heart of the Vinyasa system we can solve the problems and obstacles which commonly arise through this type of practice. This will give the teacher better tools with which to see the individual nature of the student and to assist them in avoiding injury.

March 5, Saturday AM The Body as the Ground of Awakening: Alignment as Mudra
The relationship between Prana (feeling and sensation patterns) and citta (thought and imagination patterns) makes the Human body a doorway into to levels of awareness both subtle and radiant. In this intensive we will begin by using the present pattern of our awareness to hook into the central axis of both the physical and the imaginative bodies.

At the heart of Ashtanga system the core postures, the bandhas, the drishtis and the breathing rhythms are so simple and yet so subtle that most practitioners overlook them. By exploring these core techniques we will find new freedom and grace in the present. We will play with the paradoxes of breathing and the complementarity of technique to open the central axis of the body into a universal form. Meditation, pranayama and asana all blossom in our attention to new and exquisite details, alignment and flow.

March 5,Saturday PM Making Back Bending and Finishing Poses Feel Right
Small, subtle adjustments in form and attitude can make problematic and difficult poses produce their fruits. We will look a little deeper into Back Bends, Shoulders Stands, Headstands and their entourage of related poses. Common difficulties, injuries and misalignments will be examined and their solutions explored.

March 6, Sunday AM Core Mudras and the Essential Tricks
Learn to use Dristi, Bandha and the continuous refinement of technique to awaken the core of the body. We will play with the paradoxes of breathing and the complementarity of technique to draw through the central axis of the body a kind of satisfying metaphorical milk. Experiencing a paradox in motion at the heart of the Vinyasa system allows us to turn our postures into mudras of feeling and expression.

March 6,Sunday PM The Root of the Tree
How does the Mulabandha really work in relation to alignment, breath, thought and meditation/ What is it–is it a mudra that releases endless radiance? We will explore the subtleties of yoga practice to release the deeper threads of our feelings and thought processes into the present.

リチャード・フリーマン
1968年にヨガのポーズと瞑想の練習を始める。その後に、K.パタビジョイスが作り上げたアシュタンガ・ヴィンヤサヨガに、総合的なヴィジョンを見いだす。指導スタイルは独特で、ポーズや動きの身体機能的／知覚機能的な「型」の再構築、組み立て直しを行い続けている。コロラド州ボルダーにあるYoga Workshop の設立者、ディレクターで、さまざまなレベルのクラスを指導している。

Richard Freeman Biography
Richard began the practice of Yoga asana and meditation in 1968. Thereafter,
he found an integrative vision in the Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga of K. Pattabhi Jois. His teaching style is unique in that it continuously restructures and reframes the biomechanical and perceptual forms of the asanas and movements. He is the founder and director of the Yoga Workshop in Boulder, Colorado, where he teaches all levels of classes

At the heart of Ashtanga system the core postures, the bandhas, the drishtis and the breathing rhythms are so simple and yet so subtle that most practitioners overlook them. By exploring these core techniques we will find new freedom and grace in the present. We will play with the paradoxes of breathing and the complementarity of technique to open the central axis of the body into a universal form. Meditation, pranayama and asana all blossom in our attention to new and exquisite details, alignment and flow.

March 5,Saturday PM Making Back Bending and Finishing Poses Feel Right
Small, subtle adjustments in form and attitude can make problematic and difficult poses produce their fruits. We will look a little deeper into Back Bends, Shoulders Stands, Headstands and their entourage of related poses. Common difficulties, injuries and misalignments will be examined and their solutions explored.

March 6, Sunday AM Core Mudras and the Essential Tricks
Learn to use Dristi, Bandha and the continuous refinement of technique to awaken the core of the body. We will play with the paradoxes of breathing and the complementarity of technique to draw through the central axis of the body a kind of satisfying metaphorical milk. Experiencing a paradox in motion at the heart of the Vinyasa system allows us to turn our postures into mudras of feeling and expression.

March 6,Sunday PM The Root of the Tree
How does the Mulabandha really work in relation to alignment, breath, thought and meditation/ What is it–is it a mudra that releases endless radiance? We will explore the subtleties of yoga practice to release the deeper threads of our feelings and thought processes into the present.

リチャード・フリーマン
1968年にヨガのポーズと瞑想の練習を始める。その後に、K.パタビジョイスが作り上げたアシュタンガ・ヴィンヤサヨガに、総合的なヴィジョンを見いだす。指導スタイルは独特で、ポーズや動きの身体機能的／知覚機能的な「型」の再構築、組み立て直しを行い続けている。コロラド州ボルダーにあるYoga Workshop の設立者、ディレクターで、さまざまなレベルのクラスを指導している。

Richard began the practice of Yoga asana and meditation in 1968. Thereafter,
he found an integrative vision in the Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga of K. Pattabhi Jois. His teaching style is unique in that it continuously restructures and reframes the biomechanical and perceptual forms of the asanas and movements.
