デトックスリトリート・プレイベント報告

6月17日（金）、7月に御岳で行うマイルズのリトリートのプレイベントを行いました。
Miles’ mini-event for Yoga Detox & Rejuvenation weekend took place on June 17th.

会場は原宿にオープンしたばかりのヨガスタジオ、シュクラ/ハラジュク。いわゆる裏原宿と言われるエリアにひっそりと佇む素敵なスタジオなんです！地下なのにあの開放感。

7月のリトリートはデトックスや癒しに特化した内容。ヨガ初心者の方、参加検討中の方にプログラムをより詳しく知って頂くために急遽開催の運びとなりましたが、私たちsakura yogaの活動についても少しご紹介させていただきました。
We arranged this event with the hope of giving more detailed information of the July retreat focused on detox and healing, to people who are interested in this program and also to yoga beginners. And we also introduced activities of sakura yoga.

sakuraの4年にわたる歴史を振り返るひとみさん・・・。

これまでお手伝いさせていただいたワークショップやTT、講師の方々のリストを改めて見てみると、メンバーとしていっそう精進しなくては！と気持ちを新たにしたのでした。

as one of the interpreter/translator of sakura yoga, taking a look back over the list of all the workshops, TTC, and yoga teachers we worked with makes me feel myself straightening up!

さて、リトリートです。
今回のプログラムについて、マイルズからお話。ヨガ、浄化作用のある食事法、ハイドロセラピー、クリエイティブ･タイムそして休息と、5つのアクティビティを繰り返し行うこのユニークなプログラムは、5日間のフル･バージョンだと2時間ごとに1つのアクティビティを休まず繰り返すとか・・・。そして通常のサイクルが崩れることによって浄化・解毒作用が促されるそうです。パワフルな効果を得られそう・・・。
OK, let’s go back to the retreat.
Miles explained about this unique program. We will cycle 5 activities: yoga, cleansing diet, hydrotherapy, creative & healing time and rest, and in its 5-day full version, you cycle each of these activity for 2hours for 5 days, so it’s upsetting the normal sleeping pattern then promote detoxifying process. Hmm, sounds really powerful…!

今回は週末バージョンで、もっとやさしいアプローチにアレンジしたもの。パワフルな浄化法を体験したい方にはリキッド･ダイエット（固形物を摂らない）、より身体に優しくと思われる方にはソリッド･ダイエット（固形物を摂る）と、2種類のプランをご用意しています！
This weekend version is arranged as more accessible and gentle, and you can also choose which diet you’d do. Liquid(for people have experienced detoxing, fasting etc. or who feels strong and hope to experience powerful effect.) or solid food diet(for people feels more sensitive, for beginners).

皆さんマイルズのお話に興味津々。
会場では、ソリッド･ダイエットで食べるキノア・シチューと、どちらのプランでも飲めるヨギ・ティーの試食も行いました。このキノア・シチューが美味しいんです。デトックスにきつそうなイメージをもたれていた方も、このシチューを食べてちょっとイメージが変わったかな？
We had taste-tasting of quinoa stew(which we are going to have for solid food diet) and yogi tea (which we are going to drink through the program), and this quinoa stew is really good!!! I’m sure this overturn the fixed image of “detox is tough”…it’s actually yummy!
ヨギ･ティーといえば、日本にもティーバックが輸入されているヨギ･ティーブランドがありますが、これは自家製ヨギ･ティー。スパイスが効いたチャイのようなお茶で、はちみつと牛乳を入れて飲みます。免疫力を高めてくれるそうなので、風邪をひいた時にも良いとの事。お試し下さい！マイルズのウェブサイトにレシピが掲載されています。リトリートの予習にいかがですか？
And some people may be familiar with “Yogi Tea” teabags…but this yogi tea is homemade and it tastes a little bit like chai. Tasty spice tea with milk and honey, and good for immune system so it’s also good when you catch a cold!

このプログラムは、クンダリーニ・ヨガの創始者ヨギ・バジャンが考案したものを、マイルズの先生（なんとヨギ・バジャンについて12年間修行された方だそうです）がアレンジしたもの。ヨガ初心者の方はもちろん、クンダリーニ･ヨガになじみのない方もいらっしゃるかと思い、クンダリーニのミニ･レッスンをお願いしました。
This program is originally designed by Yogi Bhajan, founder of Kundalini yoga and arranged by Miles’ teacher(he practiced with Yogi Bhajan for 12 years!), and for this event, we asked Miles to give a mini lesson of Kundalini yoga for those who are not familiar with this system.

クンダリーニといえば火の呼吸！おへそのあたりを強く引き込みながら呼吸します。慣れるまで結構大変なんですけど、個人的にはすっきりパワーがみなぎる感じで、好きです（笑）
浄化や解毒といった要素にも着目するエネルギー・ワーク。内なる火をかきたてて、身体の中の滞りや緊張を取り除きます！

今回のリトリートでは、クンダリーニの他、ヴィンヤサ・スタイルのヨガも行う予定だとか。日常を離れて東京のパワースポットと言われる山の中でヨガ三昧という事ですね！リフレッシュできること間違いなし！
Famous breath of fire! You do this pranayama pumping your navel, and it is tough for some people in the beginning. Personally, I LOVE this energizing powerful breath! Kundalini yoga is also an energy work focused on purifying and detoxing, generates inner heat and get rid of stagnation and tension!
We also do some vinyasa style yoga at the retreat…which means, we do lots of yoga in Tokyo’s famous “power spot” away from our day-to-day life? How refreshing and fun!
